Alison Jacques Gallery was established in 2004, Alison Jacques having previously operated in partnership as AspreyJacques from 1998. In May 2007, the gallery moved to a new space designed by MRJ Rundell & Associates. Located north of Oxford Circus, the gallery is set over 3,500 square feet and includes two ground floor exhibition spaces.

The gallery works with both British and International artists, many of whom have achieved critical and curatorial acclaim through museum exhibitions and biennials. These artists include Sheila Hicks, Ana Mendieta, Robert Mapplethorpe, Birgit Jürgenssen, Erika Verzutti, Irma Blank, Takuro Kuwata, Fernanda Gomes, Ian Kiaer, Ryan Mosley, Graham Little, Iran do Espirito Santo, Catherine Yass and Thomas Zipp. These include the Estate of Maria Bartuszova, the Estate of Lygia Clark, the Estate of Dorothea Tanning and the Hannah Wilke Collection & Archive.
