Turner Prize-nominated artist Craigie Horsfield will be the subject of one of Photo London 2016’s leading exhibitions. In this event he will speak with James Lingwood, Co-Director of Artangel. James first showed Craigie’s work at the ICA in 1991, shortly before James moved to Artangel later that year. In the intervening 25 years James has worked on several of Craigie’s projects, writing about them in different publications.

Horsfield is known for his profound engagement with the materiality of photography, using varied printing methods and often printing his images several years after being taken. James Lingwood has always championed the place of photography in the art world. He showed Thomas Struth at the ICA in the late 1980s, and curated the Epic and the Everyday at the Hayward in 1994, which brought the work of Andreas Gursky, Jeff Wall and Berndt & Hilla Becher to a much wider public.
