Founded in 2014, Art+Text Budapest is a prominent for-profit gallery in the Eastern-European art scene. Over the last three years, it has organized various Hungarian and international exhibitions in the famous Bedő House, a gem of the Hungarian Art Nouveau architecture, once home of a marvelous private collection. The gallery’s ambitious program covers cutting-edge emerging artists, and progressive masters from the 1960s-70s including artists from Hungarian neo-avant-garde photography. Art+Text Budapest's main aim is to create a bridge between the Hungarian contemporary art and the international art world. Our publishing activity includes international art books —such as Neo-avant-garde Trends in Hungarian Art Photography, 1965-1984 by Sándor Szilágyi— essays and studies related to the Hungarian and regional post-war art history.
