see+ gallery was established by its director Hua´er in 2008. Since then it has become one of the most important galleries on photography in China.
Starting with promoting international artists in China, it soon began showing and supporting young contemporary Chinese photographers, such as Wei Bi, Lu Yanpeng, Zeng Yicheng, and Huang Xiaoliang. The artists soon also came recognized abroad through various exhibition and prizes. They had great success in with collectors in Europe and the United States.
In close collaboration with important personas in photography, such as Stephen White or A.D. Coleman, and Other famous curators, Hua´er curated exhibitions in see+ gallery and in China´s museums about the history of photography dating back to the 19th - 21th century. Further she worked closely with contemporary photographers from the United States (e.g. George Tice, Jerry Uelsmann, Arno Rafael Minkkinen, Mary Allen Mark, Maggie Taylor) and Czech Republic (e.g. Jan Saudek, Ivan Pinkava) and France (Gabriela Morawez, Gerard Rancinan) and Japan (Masahisa Fukase, Daido Moriyama, Araki Nobuyoshi) introduced their works to the Chinese market.
In the past ten years of work see+ gained respect and trust by collectors both in China and abroad. see+ has established a center for photography in China. Its program of international and regional photography has been exhibited in various art fairs and museums around the globe.
