Autograph ABP is a not-for-profit arts organisation founded in 1988. Its mission is to support and advocate work produced by visionary artists from different cultural backgrounds who use photography and film to critically engage with issues of identity, representation, human rights and social justice. It produces a diverse range of curatorial programmes that include Exhibitions, Events, Publications, Artist Commissions and Residencies, as well as increasingly loans from its unique collection of photography and lens-based media. Artists represented include Rotimi Fani-Kayode, Aida Silvestri and James Barnor, among others. In addition Autograph exclusively offers commissioned art works by critically acclaimed contemporary artists exhibited by the organisation such as Zanele Muholi, Omar Victor Diop and Lina Iris Viktor. Based at the award-winning architectural landmark building Rivington Place in Shoreditch, London, Autograph is active both locally and globally – with its own gallery spaces, research archive and education studio.
