Large Glass is an independent, commercial gallery. For almost ten years the gallery has worked with a great range of international artists, to conceive of and curate solo and group exhibitions on specific themes. The gallery’s effort is to show art in a wider cultural context that is thought provoking, rigorous, innovative and of an exceptional quality.
Founded by Charlotte Schepke in 2011, the gallery was named after Marcel Duchamp’s lifelong work, known as the Large Glass. Aside from his revolutionary approach and radical ready-mades, Duchamp’s blend of seriousness, wit and humour is channelled as much as possible.
