Post:                      Marketing and Communications Manager

Salary:                  £30- 35K dependent on experience              

Reporting to:     Head of Partnerships and Business Development

Marketing & Communications

  • Responsible for exceeding ticket sales targets
  • Maintaining the focus of the Fair’s narrative throughout all communications and channels
  • Delivering the Fair’s marketing plan, ensuring deadlines and targets are met
  • Overseeing Public Relations, including liaising with external PR agency (organising press announcements and events, managing on site press office during fair, sourcing and distributing press images, press accreditations, maintaining clippings archive)
  • Overseeing the scheduling and production of print and digital adverts including liaising with external design company
  • Handling the relationship with Photo London’s ticketing agency, running joint marketing campaigns and overseeing ticket offers
  • Delivering on key media partnerships


Digital Responsibilities


  • Creating and managing an effective digital strategy to drive ticket sales
  • Planning, sourcing and creating content for the Fair’s social media channels (Instagram, Twitter and Facebook)
  • Acting as the point person with the Fair’s website developers
  • Creating content for and managing the Photo London website as per an agreed content plan
  • Managing the online exhibitor application and VIP Programme pages on the Photo London website
  • Liaising with our in-house designer to design content for the website
  • Writing and editing email marketing campaigns, announcements and newsletters
  • Using google analytics and data from audience insights to create content and ideas which can be used to effectively market the Fair





  • Qualified to degree level or relevant experience
  • Experience of working on complex projects with tight deadlines
  • Technically skilled in using various software programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, In Design, Photoshop etc.
  • Experience in managing communications campaigns and liaising with agencies
  • WordPress or experience with other content management systems


  • Strong interest in the arts (particularly photography)
  • Familiarity with project management software
  • Databases and a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, SEO and search engines
