Winner Announced: Photo London x Hahnemühle Student Award 2025
Photo London and Hahnemühle are pleased to announce that Billy Allen, a student at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), has been awarded the 2025 Photo London x Hahnemühle Student Award.

Selected from a shortlist of five finalists representing universities across the United Kingdom, Allen impressed the judging panel with Exhibition, a series of staged photographs that draw on traditions of absurdist theatre, noir cinema, and fashion editorial. His work, often developed during time spent in Budapest, reflects a commitment to collaboration and a sharp eye for materiality, drawing on his background in construction to create meticulously composed visual tableaux.

In recognition of his achievement, Allen will receive a trip to the Hahnemühle mill in Germany, where he will produce a new body of work using the Hahnemühle Digital FineArt Bamboo paper.
