‘positions’

An exciting new initiative supporting unrepresented talent

Launched in 2024, and returning at Photo London’s highly anticipated tenth anniversary edition in May 2025, ‘positions’ is an exciting new addition to the Fair that champions unrepresented photographic artists, providing an unparalleled platform for recognition and exposure at one of the world’s leading international art fairs. The 2025 edition of ‘positions’ will culminate in a curated showcase of selected artists’ work at the Fair and offers a truly unique opportunity for collectors and patrons of the arts to support and play an invaluable role in the delivery of this dynamic project, which is the first of its kind to sit side-by-side with the traditional art fair format.

To realise this exciting vision, Photo London Director Sophie Parker and Discovery Curator Charlotte Jansenled by patron of the arts, and founder of the ISelf Collection Maria Sukkar, have formed a curatorial group that will start work immediately seeking proposals. ‘positions’ will be supported by members of the Supporters’ Circle; an enthused group of collectors and art patrons who will be at the centre of building this new initiative and who share our long-standing commitment to promoting and nurturing outstanding unrepresented photographic talent.

How it works:

  • Supporters’ Circle Members decide if they would like to support an individual artist or ‘positions’ in its entirety.
  • Submissions and nominations will be reviewed to ensure each artists’ works are in-keeping with our curatorial vision.
  • Successful nominees will work in close collaboration with the curatorial team and Photo London on the production of ‘positions’.
  • Proposed artists must not currently have gallery representation.

We now invite you to register your interest to join the ‘positions’ Supporters’ Circle.

Please submit your details via the form below. Once you have completed and submitted the form, a member of the Photo London Team will be in touch at the email address you provide to discuss your proposal in further detail.

Kindly note that separate entries are required should you wish to propose more than one artist.
