Martin Parr’s Real Food Van

Thursday 19 May 2016
River Terrace

Photo London 2016 hosted an installation that brought to life Martin Parr’s latest book, Real Food, published by Phaidon.
The Real Food Van was stationed on the River Terrace of Somerset House and served food inspired by Parr’s iconic photographs. Publishers Phaidon collaborated with The Art of Dining, a quirky gastronomic pop-up, to create a unique photo-culinary experience. Each dish appeared, at first glance, like the food in one of Parr’s photographs, but looks may deceive, as The Art of Dining ensured that they all tasted absolutely delicious.

The Real Food Van served food daily during the Fair and allowed visitors to immerse themselves in Martin Parr’s kitsch, humorous and quintessentially British world.
