Kourtney Iman King
I’m a southern native with roots in Atlanta, Georgia and Decatur, Alabama. My practice is conceptual art, and I have a BA in African American Studies from The University of Alabama and an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design, specializing in Fine Arts Photography. My work focuses on the intricate aesthetics of Black life, with a particular devotion to Black femininity and expression. When I pick up my camera, I have in my mind Arthur Jafa’s question: ‘What is the relationship between the thing that’s in front of you, the thing that preceded, and the thing that’s following?’
Tyler Basa
I began my multidisciplinary artistic journey at the age of eight. First self-taught, then refined at SCAD, I learned from videos on the internet, my peers and professors at my college, gradually building up an arsenal of tools and skills. I like to experiment in various areas of photography, and my work is heavily influenced by my mother’s landscape paintings. It clings to feelings of drama and nostalgia.
Joel Dubroc, a photographer based currently in New Orleans, Louisiana, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). With his hands-on approach, Dubroc most of the time crafts every aspect of his photography. His images have been in publications like Photo Vogue, Photobook Magazine, Pap Magazine, and Musee Magazine, showcasing his distinct blend of humor and graphic flair. Collaborating with influential figures including Daphne Guinness, Poppy, Pearl Liaison, Jen Shah, and Lauren Ash, Dubroc’s artistic vision, honed through assisting David LaChapelle, continues to evolve.
