Simple Editions is an independent publishing house founded in 2022 by graphic designer Joanna Starck.
Dedicated to showcasing the artistic practices of a new generation, Simple Editions publishes photobooks and artist books with a particular focus on the artist’s conceptual approach rather than on the medium itself.
Each publication results from a close collaboration between the artist and the designer, ensuring a coherent dialogue between content and form. Decisions regarding format, binding, paper, typography, and overall design stem from a rigorous and thoughtful engagement with the artist’s work, all with the goal of producing a distinctive object.
Simple Editions collaborates with carefully selected artisans known for their expertise and their interest in experimentation. All titles are produced in Europe and published in limited editions.
