No one can truly understand time. As an artist, I study our relationship to past, future, and present moments, reflecting upon the way we use and misuse time.

I have always been intrigued by the subject side of time- pondering the weight and beauty of memories, the fear of impending uncertainty, the void when we are alone and thoughts of the final dusk when everything will be gone. Most of all, I admire time when it seemingly stops for a moment, and oneness is just good the way it is.

It is a beautiful challenge to find an analogue flow in the rigid forest of causes and consequences.

My video and photographic series MATTER, I revisited urban locations, capturing them from the same angle. In the finish works, the days and moment appear projected onto each other, the time flowing, revealing our fading memories and insignificance. Time becomes something we can see, a passage. We visually dissolve and lose permanency. Our boundaries are blurred.

Only the traffic lights remain in their own clearly legible world.
