Booth Event – Book Signing: Studio Prokopiou

The book “Wet Paint” is Studio Prokopiou attempt to reckon with their Greek heritage – in a typically ambiguous way. Looking at the pictures, we don’t know whether the portraits of deities are a joke of the ancient world or a tribute to it. The intensity of the staging and the “vulgar” colors of the paints used to paint the models’ bodies are both historically appropriate and iconoclastic.
