Joey Judita Abrait’s Book of Sorrow is full of quiet photographs from post-Soviet Lithuania. The images of buildings, children and glances seem to be waiting for something, as if there is feeling written into the photographer’s parents’ and grandparents’ body language, their sighs, their glances and silences. The camera seems to search for answers while is captures the everyday.
