This film analyses the passage of time – theme present in Rytka’s conceptual works since the early 1970s. Human activities (carrying and laying stones), driven by a chain of individual decisions that are supposed to trigger a change in reality, are juxtaposed here with the images of nature (blue sky) and the sounds of a ticking clock – incessant rhythm of the flow of time. With a focus on the constant character of the passage of time, Rytka also highlights the temporal dimension of human activities, drawing attention to the process, not the product.
