Celebrating the launch of New Dimension’s latest publication “At Least Until The World Stops Going Round” by photographer Charlie Tallott. Flash-laden images to explore the idea that all things must pass – while serving as a reminder to exist within the moment.

At Least Until the World Stops Going Round, published by New Dimension, is Tallott’s debut monograph, and is a collection of intimate tangible and textured photographs taken over the last six years. With a distinct over-saturated aesthetic, the images are blissful but hazy, and resemble half forgotten memories, or stolen glances, rather than high definition photographs. But while the photographs have a euphoric quality and feel, many stem from a dark period in Tallott’s life. Tallot uses photography as a refuge, with the camera acting as a momentary window to a different world, capturing snapshots of his daily life and the people around him. The complexity of life resonates throughout his imagery, with fleeting tender, violent, lonely, and rare moments all transported into Tallott’s mystifying, flash-laden universe. The book’s title, At Least Until the World Stops Going Round, was influenced by aphorisms Tallott’s mum would say, such as ‘you’ve always got tomorrow’ and ‘the sun’s gonna always come up’. This embodies the idea that all things must pass, while serving as a reminder to exist within the moment.
