Booth Event – Book Signing: Sandra Chen Weinstein

Recent years have seen an unprecedented push by governments to pass anti-LGBTQ bills across the world.

In these times visual representation of queer love is as important as it has ever been, and in Transcend, award-winning Taiwanese American photographer Sandra Chen Weinstein, showcases some of the work from a long career of photographing the LGBTQ community. The book is a series of photographs and quotes highlighting the extraordinary relationships and celebrating their identities, especially the trans community, their families and friends, including Weinstein’s own child recently came out as queer, trans, and non-binary at the age of twenty-eight.

The New Press is delighted to welcome the artist to a signing of her publication Transcend, freedom to love.
Transcend has been featured in The Big Picture:The Guardian,L’Oeil de la Photographie and selection images are exhibited in Museum of Fine Art Washington County.
