Rosie Emerson is known for pushing the boundaries of traditional printmaking. She blends techniques such as monoprint, photo etching, screenprint and cyanotype with unconventional materials like gold leaf, bronze powders, charcoal, flowers, seeds and even tea. Her richly layered, hand-finished works shimmer with theatrical elegance, often featuring ethereal figures that appear to emerge or dissolve within the artwork. Inspired by theatre, baroque drama, Pre-Raphaelite Romanticism, and Magical Realist literature, Emerson constructs one-off pieces
using photography, painting, lighting, costume, set, and prop design. Her subjects range from iconic figures to friends, dancers, and actors, all photographed in her studio. Emerson is presented by Bright gallery, booth D19

Michelle Marshall’s practice revolves around portraiture with assignments ranging from commercial contracts, fashion editorials to private commissions and self-initiated/personal projects. She is driven by the self-reflecting process afforded by interacting with others through photography. Marshall is inquisitive, using the camera to engage in creative shared experiences widening her perspective of the world she navigates. Marshall is presented by Sarabande Foundation, booth D09

Rachel Fleminger Hudson is a photographer and filmmaker, who employs a multi-disciplinary approach to her practice spanning art direction, set design and costume. After graduating this year from Central Saint Martins, she won the international Dior Photography and Visual Arts Award for Young Talents 2022, exhibiting at the Luma Arles Foundation. Fleminger Hudson is presented by Sarabande Foundation, booth D09

Rosalind Jana writes about art, fashion and culture. Her work regularly appears in the BBC, Vogue, ArtReview, Frieze, Apollo and The Guardian.
