Exhibition: Antony Cairns

Antony Cairns will showcase his large-scale computer punch card artworks over the five days of Photo London through a series of live pinning and unpinning sessions. Originally used to store data and run programs, the cards are repurposed as printed material, adding a layer of abstraction to his nocturnal city imagery.

Presented as a live studio event, audiences can observe the works’ construction and the central idea: the cards still function as carriers of information, building into a complete artwork—much like the sequences they once formed in computer programs.
