Liz Johnson Artur (b. 1964, Bulgaria) is an artist and photographer based in London. She completed her MA in Fine Art at the Royal College of Art, London, after studying photography at the Bayerische Staatslehranstalt für Fotografie in Munich. Johnson Artur has exhibited at the 10th Berlin Biennale (2018); Grace Wales Bonner: A Time For New Dreams, Serpentine Galleries (2019); This Synthetic Moment, David Nolan Gallery, New York, NY (2018); AIMIA AGO Photography Prize, Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto (2017);A Thousand and X Little Actions, Lothringer 13 Halle, Munich (2016); 1.-3.Personal plural: wir, ihr, sie, Kunstverein Leipzig (2016), and Mde You Look: Dandyism and Black Masculinity, The Photographer’s Gallery, London (2016). Her monograph with Bierke Verlag was included in the ‘Best Photo Books 2016’ list of the New York Times. In May 2019, Johnson Artur will have her first solo exhibition in the US at the Brooklyn Museum, New York and and her first major museum exhibition in the UK in June 2019 at the South London Gallery.

Hans Ulrich Obrist (b. 1968, Zurich, Switzerland) is Artistic Director of the Serpentine Galleries, London. Prior to this, he was the Curator of the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris. Since his first show “World Soup” (The Kitchen Show) in 1991, he has curated more than 300 shows.

Obrist’s recent publications include Mondialité, Conversations in Colombia, Ways of Curating, The Age of Earthquakes with Douglas Coupland and Shumon Basar, and Lives of The Artists, Lives of The Architects.
