Sarah Moon, a known photographer, wanted to pay homage to one of her peers, Lillian Bassman, a fashion photographer pioneer. Lillian Bassman, who still works with the biggest fashion designers, has a part in launching “Harper’s Bazaar” revue under Alexey Brodovitch management, in 1948. Thanks to the testimonies of her family and her friends, and watching her at work, Sarah Moon paints Lillian Bassman’s portrait in a moving and original way. It is indeed the first movie about this great artist.
