29 ARTS IN PROGRESS gallery is a contemporary art gallery focused on the representation of artists specialising in photo-based art. The gallery is located in the heart of Milan, nearby the Leonardo Da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology, in the historic district of Sant’Ambrogio. 29 ARTS IN PROGRESS represents the work of established contemporary photographers: Gian Paolo Barbieri (Milan, 1938), Italy’s most renowned fashion photographer with his multi-faceted oeuvre since 1965 to the present day, Kurt Ammann (Bern, 1925), Swiss photoreporter since 1948, internationally recognized photographers of theatre and the arts, Silvia Lelli and Roberto Masotti, official photographers of La Scala Theatre (1979-1996). They are exclusively represented by 29 ARTS IN PROGRESS worldwide.
29 ARTS IN PROGRESS also represents a select group of emerging artists including: Amedeo M. Turello, fashion photographer since 1999, Ronald Martinez, young French photographer inspired by Italian pictorial aesthetics and Luminism; Andrea Di Martino, whose research activity combine the classic photo essay style with a more implicit approach; Italian artist Valerio Berruti, known for his ancient method of fresco; Francesco De Molfetta, conceptual and ironic sculptor, among the most original artists of the neo-pop scene.
Since its inception, the gallery has curated exhibitions in partnership with Public and Private Museums, including: The Hong Kong Arts Centre, The Multimedia Art Museum in Moscow, Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, ERARTA Contemporary Art Museum in St. Petersburg, Palazzo Reale in Milan.
