We specialise in 19th and early 20th century photographs. We value rarity, condition and provenance in single photographs or albums, reflecting our link with the world of rare books and manuscripts. Our interest areas range from the history of photography and early processes to outstanding British photographers of all periods. We represent Mike Seaborne and the Roger Mayne Archive, and hold works by Hill and Adamson, Roger Fenton, Bill Brandt, Graham Smith and Raymond Moore among others. We also sell photography books and publish books on photographic history, including the award-winning Carrying off the Palaces: John Ruskin’s Lost Daguerreotypes by Ken and Jenny Jacobson in 2015.
