Photography has played an integral part of the broad programme at Flowers Gallery since its inception in 1970. One of the first galleries to open in London’s East End, there are now two spaces in London, one in New York. Organising between six to eight photography exhibitions a year, the gallery also participates in international photo fairs and coordinates external touring shows.
Currently representing over ten established international photographers, the gallery is most recognised for its engagement with important socio-cultural, political and environmental themes. Through a dedicated photography department established in 2008, Flowers Gallery has staged exhibitions by invited artists and curators across a range of contemporary photographic practices.
