Established in the Montparnasse district since 1996, The Galerie Esther Woerdehoff is one of the few French galleries exclusively devoted to photography. The gallery offers a classic selection of great photographers of the second half of the twentieth century (René Burri, Frank Horvat, Edouard Boubat, Philipp Giegel) and the important collection of photographs by Swiss photographer, Karlheinz Weinberger.
Contemporary European photography also has a privileged position in its artistic program, with established artists such as Chema Madoz, Simone Kappeler or Michael Schnabel. The gallery encourages the discovery of talents such as Elene Usdin, Juliette Bates or Iris Hutegger who first exhibited at the gallery and now enjoy an international recognition.
With six to eight exhibitions every year, regular presence at international art fairs and numerous projects with museums and institutions, the Galerie Esther Woerdehoff is an essential address for photography collectors and enthusiasts all over the world.
