The Photographers' Gallery was founded in London’s Covent Garden in 1971 and was the first public gallery in the UK dedicated to the medium.

Over the years it has introduced such international photographers as Juergen Teller, Robert Capa, Sebastião Salgado, Andreas Gursky and Taryn Simon to British audiences, whilst championing the work of home based practitioners including Martin Parr, Zineb Sedira, Nick Knight and Corinne Day.

It continues to present a diverse and critically acclaimed public-programme of exhibitions, events, talks, workshops and courses that encourage deeper engagement with, and learning through the photographic medium.

Print Sales Gallery has been an integral part of The Photographers' Gallery since its founding, supporting both the organisation and its photographers through the sale of contemporary, modern, vintage and rare photographic prints. The Print Sales Gallery Represents 35 acclaimed and emergent artists and hosts six exhibitions each year.
