Situated just outside London Albion Barn is a contemporary art gallery showcasing some of the most admired and exciting artists working today; for example Joana Vasconcelos, Nick Knight, Richard Long and James Capper. Designed by Cristina Seilern architects, the gallery opened in 2014 with a major exhibition of installations by James Turrell.
Albion Barn is comprised of two exhibition spaces, a library, dining room and offices, and runs an exhibition programme focussing on contemporary art by a roster internationally renowned and significant artists. Recent and forthcoming exhibitions include Douglas Gordon, James Capper, Constantin Brâncusi & Magdalene Odondo, Richard Woods and John Virtue.
In July 2021 Albion launched Albion Fields a new sculpture park set within 50 acres of Oxfordshire countryside. The inaugural exhibition has been created in partnership with Goodman Gallery, Marian Goodman Gallery, König Galerie and Lisson Gallery. It presents sculpture by 26 leading contemporary artists; Adel Abdessemed, Vito Acconci, David Adjaye, Ghada Amer, Kader Attia, Daniel Buren, James Capper, Claudia Comte, Wim Delvoye, Ryan Gander, Douglas Gordon, Jeppe Hein, Cristina Iglesias, Alicja Kwade, Richard Long, John Pawson, Sarah Peters, Eva Rothschild, James Turrell, Joana Vasconcelos, Xavier Veilhan, Bernar Venet, Ai Weiwei, Rachel Whiteread, Richard Woods, Erwin Wurm.
