Photography is restless. It can be medium, technology, art, method and more. With each movement we make towards it, it moves away, defying any reduction. However, as a practice, photography has not ceased to be a way of relating to the world, only now we know that its world can emerge in different ways: from formal registers, conceptual experiments, subjective voices, and even collective self-representations. In this panorama is installed Caamaño Foto Galería, which was born as an independent initiative in 2010 and aims to encourage photographic production in Peru and promote its dissemination locally and internationally. With a curatorial line oriented towards author documentation and conceptual photography, the gallery acts as a platform, operating through different cultural practices, such as: exhibitions, publications, curatorship, and a rigorous and sustained participation in specialized fairs, carried out both locally and globally.
