Bona Varda was founded in 2021 by photographer David McLean and graphic designer Yassine Nidaazzi. Originally focused on rare second-hand books specializing in art and photography, Bona Varda has since expanded into publishing, with a strong emphasis on spotlighting emerging LGBTQ+ artists, photographers, and their allies. Recent collaborations include Oli Raptor, Tom Oldham, The Sensitive Line, Wet Mess and aint.saint.
