In May 2025, the esteemed Hungry Eye Gallery (formerly Kahmann Gallery) will present an exclusive showcase of Dutch photographic talent at Photo London. This exhibition will feature the works of Nina Hauben, Schilte & Portielje, Sara Punt, Asha Swillens, and will mark the international debut of the artist known as J.D.

Nina Hauben is celebrated for her evocative imagery that seamlessly blends contemporary themes with a nostalgic aesthetic. Her recent works exude the charm and style reminiscent of the 1930s and 1950s, offering viewers a journey through time while maintaining a modern sensibility.

The artistic duo Schilte & Portielje are renowned for their monochromatic compositions that transcend the boundaries of reality. Their photo collage works invite viewers into a surreal realm, challenging perceptions and evoking introspection.

Sara Punt has been a prominent figure in the Dutch photography scene, with her works previously showcased in various exhibitions like Paris Photo. Her photography captures the delicate interplay between light and shadow, form and emotion, creating images that resonate deeply with audiences.

Asha Swillens emerges as a promising talent. Her artistic work seamlessly blends fashion and fine art, drawing inspiration from Dior-like designs. With a keen eye for elegance and detail, her creations transcend traditional fashion photography, making a significant impact on the art market. Her work has already been recognized and awarded at various prestigious venues across Europe.

The event will also celebrate the international debut of J.D., an artist whose work has been gaining attention in the art community. J.D.'s unique perspective and innovative approach to street photography are anticipated to make a significant impact on the global stage.

Hungry Eye Gallery, founded in 2005 and located in the heart of Amsterdam, has long been a beacon for photographic art, representing a diverse roster of over 30 photographers. Their participation in Photo London underscores their commitment to promoting Dutch talent and contributing to the international photography discourse.

The inclusion of these Dutch artists in such a prestigious event not only highlights the richness of the Netherlands' photographic landscape. Attendees can look forward to a compelling exhibition that reflects the depth, diversity, and dynamism of contemporary Dutch photography.
