Showcasing the very best in past, present and future photography, this year’s Photo London is an inspirational mix of vintage and modern photography to entice all who visit. Internationalism is at the core of this year’s edition, with an impressive global group of exhibitors. Galleries from China, Japan, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Norway, Finland and Iran that are exhibiting for the first time will be alongside the Fair’s long-time participants. For those passionate about photobooks, the Publishers’ Section will be returning bigger than ever, with exhibitors coming from China, Japan, France, Italy, Germany, the United States and the Netherlands. A special exhibition featuring four Mexican photographers, presented by Maroma, – a Belmond Hotel on the Riviera Maya, Mexico – is an important addition to the Fair’s global reach.

After last year’s success, Curator and Editor of 1000 Words magazine Tim Clark continues as Discovery Ambassador and collaborates with Photo London to deliver a world-class Discovery section. A vibrant element of the Fair spotlighting galleries less than seven years old, Discovery reinforces Photo London’s commitment to supporting and investing in emerging artists and galleries.

The centre point of the 2023 Public Programme programme is the highly anticipated exhibition by this year’s Master of Photography Martin Parr, who will present new works and unveil a project that’s been 50 years in the making. The focus on British photography continues with an exhibition of women photographers from the Hyman Collection. The display is curated by the Centre for British Photography, which opened in January 2023.

The Public Tours are also a key part of the Public Programme providing an excellent overview of the fair and an introduction to its dazzling array of photographic artworks. The tours, available to book now, are led by knowledgeable guides and take place throughout the duration of the Fair.

Other highlights include the Photo London x Nikon Emerging Photographer Awards, the Photo London x Hahnemühle Student Award, and the Fair’s celebrated Talks Programme, which this year will be curated by Aperture (New York). Nikon will also host free workshops and talks for visitors to enjoy.
