Founded in 2007 by Adélie de Ipanema and Edouard Genestar, Galerie Polka is located in the Marais district of Paris. With a total surface area of 200 m2, the gallery offers an open space for photographic creation, hosting a program of ten exhibitions a year.

To date, the gallery represents the work of thirty-two French and international photographers, and collaborates with some fifty associate artists. Each brings a singular photographic style, all marked by the desire to use the medium to explore a documentary context. The gallery's programming is based on exclusive productions and offers a series of exhibitions, both in-house and off-site, whose ambition is to question the challenges of contemporary photography.
